Ghosts Of Playland At The Beach | Lowdown on the Plus-Up
The long gone park at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach.
In the late-1950s one of the earliest Imagineers created an iconic cowboy named Woody.
But he didn’t create it for Disney.
And he wasn’t named Woody for long.

And the story of San Francisco’s Playland-at-the-Beach is filled with exactly these sorts of dead-ends and dark alleys and weird coincidences.
Join Pete and Kelly as they try to make some sense out of where this beloved and infamous seaside park came from and where it went to… and let’s see if they can dig up some ghosts.
It’s Playland-at-the-Beach (home of the It’s-It!) on The Lowdown on the Plus-Up!
