Disney Legend Bob Gurr is Launching ‘The Bob Gurr Show’
Imagineering icon Bob Gurr will host his very own streaming talk show.
Fandom Productions and Imagineering icon Bob Gurr dropped a surprising announcement this week that they would be launching a streaming interview show hosted by the 91-year-old Disney Legend.
With a career in theme parks spanning over six decades, Gurr’s influence ranks amongst the most profound with his work on attractions such as the Disneyland Monorail, The Haunted Mansion, Autopia, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Universal’s King Kong Encounter. Gurr has continued to consult with theme parks through the years and makes frequent public appearances: delighting fans last year as he participated in the Los Angeles Pride Parade atop a replica of the Disneyland Omnibus which he had designed in 1956.
The Bob Gurr Show will be filmed at Fandom Production Studios in Old Town Orange, California, and will eventually feature a live audience, though the earliest episodes do not. The first episode, featuring actress Bridget Marquardt, will be available for streaming on YouTube on July 15th after which full episodes will become available through Mr. Gurr’s Patreon site will cost $10 per month. Abbreviated versions of the episodes will continue to be free on YouTube.
Future episodes will include pop culture figures such as Funko Pop founder Mike Becker and Yo Gabba Gabba’s DJ Lance Rock as well as other theme park luminaries. The show aims to bring together a diverse range of notable guests from various genres, providing viewers with an entertaining and insightful experience. Bob will showcase both old and new friends and colleagues he has encountered throughout his long career.
